578 PMS Bowls Game
Congrats to Brian G. x2 & Millhouse for the Win, Place and Show.
The consolation awards go to Keith H., Samira D. & Heather H.
Thanks to everyone for playing.
Welcome,
This is our annual College Football Bowls game. At one time many of us worked together in the same building, Bldg 578 at Brooks AFB, and the pic above is an official 578 PMS event. Yes, this is December in south Texas with Millhouse and Pup discussing the Bowls. Now the building has been leveled and our players have scattered. We keep our game going to continue those friendships and to make new ones. If you have friends to invite, forward the website and give them your name (they'll need it to enter).
Check out the Rules, Fees, & Awards below to see how our game is organized. We sometimes revise things so even if you are a long time player it's good to go over the rules again. The number and amount of awards will be set once we know how many players we have. The "Awards Table" sheet will show how many entries we currently have.
Important Dates:
Step 1 due TBD, 3pm ET
Quarterfinals due TBD, 12pm ET
Semifinals due TBD, 12pm ET
Championship - TBD, 12pm ET

Rules
ENTRY: To enter the game, the pick form will ask for this registration information.
Your Email is your contact for info and updates (required). If you are a new player, don’t get this wrong.
Your Real Name (first & last required), this helps in managing contacts and payments.
A Cell Phone Number that may be used for urgent text reminders or messages if there is an issue with your entry (optional).
Your Connection/Other Info refers to how you are connected to our games. New members must let us know who invited you to our game, it will be verified (required). Returning players with new contact information, changing either your email or phone number, please note the change (optional).
The Player name you wish to use (required). Please use something other than just your first or last name. Our games have lots of players and we need unique player names.
HOW-TO-PLAY: We're using a multiple steps method like we do with the Madness. Each step will have a separate entry form.
Steps
Step 1 will be the Bowls and First Round Playoff games. Special note: The Army/Navy game kicks off Step 1.
Step 2 is the quarterfinal playoff games.
Step 3 is the semifinal playoff games.
Step 4 is the Championship game.
Use the Bowl List to decide on your picks. This list shows the points assigned to each team. I recommended deciding on your picks prior to starting the forms. As you can imagine with so many bowls, the Step 1 form is long.
Links to each step's entry form will be above and in the invitation emails.
For Step 1 provide the required contact information above. In the following steps, please use the same email and select your player name.
In Step 4, the Championship game, include your tie-breaker prediction. Tie-breaker Points is the total number of points you predict will be scored in the Championship Game (required). Half points are allowed.
Choose your winning team predictions for each game.
Click "Submit" button. Once you see the confirmation page, you're picks are in.
Check your email. You should receive a submission receipt of your entry (From: Google Forms). If not, you may have entered your email incorrectly. Contact me at greg@grege.me to fix it.
Players may edit their picks up until the entry deadlines using the custom link in the email submission receipts.
Posting of picks: Picks will be posted at the scheduled deadlines.
Late entries will NOT be accepted, no matter how much we want your money, it's just too much work.
SCORING & RANKINGS:
If your picks wins, you receive the associated points. The points are based on the spread, money line and Sagarin rating. The points are then weighted, with the Championship by 4x, the semifinals by 3x, the quarterfinals by 2x, and the remainder by 1x.
Player rankings are based on total points.
Ties in ranking that affect an award will use the tie-breaker points to determine the final ranking. The player with the tie-breaker points closest to the actual total will win. If players are an equal number of points away from the total points scored, UNDER the total takes precedence.
Entry Fee
ENTRY FEE IS $25. Follow the link in the form/receipt for payment methods.
Awards
Awards are 100% of all entry fees, there is no house cut.
The number of awards is based on the number of entry fees received, normally, 1st - 5th and LowMan with sufficient players.
The LowMan award is given to the player with the least points. LowMan award is ONE entrance fee. Entries missing a pick are ineligible. The tie-breaker rule applies if needed.
The League's intent is never to split awards. In the unlikely event of an absolute tie for first place, the first and second place payouts are combined and split evenly with no second place payout. The same process applies to the lower awards if applicable.
